Uplift Northwest - creative projects management

Why For Good reached out to us during their centennial re-brand for Uplift Northwest (formerly the Millionair Club Charity), they told us they’d had a hard time trying to commission artists for their mural project and needed to start fresh with new ideas and energy! Because that’s exactly what we love to do, and also because we believe strongly in their mission (providing employment to those experiencing homelessness) we jumped right on in to help catch them up to their original goals and deadlines. We presented a deck of artists who we knew from experience would work well with the tight timeline, with professionalism and with the complexity surrounding their mission. Then we onboarded and worked with the chosen artist, Forest Wolf Kell, using the verbal and written words of staff and clients to imagine the many services of their organization, but in paint. We handled the feedback between the organization and artist, handled payments, insurance, schedules, contracts and prep work to move onto the next stage of the project…

Uplift Northwest - artist support

With artist support we can be there all day, or give you the tools and get out of the way! For this project, because we had a fast turn around, overall creative prepped the over 2,000 square feet of wall (see before photo below) before Forest even arrived onsite. We had tools and materials waiting for him - though almost every artist arrives with their favorite brush or two! We assisted him with transferring the images onto the wall and painting along side him to meet the tight deadline. It was a blast from start to finish!

The experience we had with Kathleen and Lina was fantastic. From the moment we first spoke until the paint dried on the mural – it was nothing but a creative, collaborative process.
